About The Position

The Senior Accountant is responsible for owning key accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting timely month‑end close activities. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert across general ledger, billing, accruals, reconciliations, and operational reporting, while partnering closely with cross‑functional teams to maintain strong internal controls and scalable accounting processes. The Senior Accountant operates with minimal supervision, independently manages complex accounting areas, and provides guidance and review support to Staff Accountants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to eight years of experience in financial accounting activities

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA‑eligible (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, or travel‑related accounting environments.
  • Experience with usage‑based billing, payment platforms, and system integrations.
  • Prior involvement in audit support or SOX‑style controls.
  • Strong experience with month‑end close, GL accounting, and reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
  • Experience working with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Workday, similar).

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer invoicing, monitor AR aging, follow up on past‑due balances, resolve billing issues and disputes, accurately apply cash, and drive timely collections while maintaining positive customer relationships and strong internal controls.
  • Process, review, and record vendor invoices; ensure proper coding, approvals, and timely payments; maintain vendor records; resolve invoice and payment discrepancies; and support accurate AP aging, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Utilize AI tools to streamline, automate, and improve accounting processes, documentation, and procedures while maintaining strong controls and data integrity.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
