We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in GAAP and regulatory reporting, with a strong background in manufacturing. This role involves managing complex financial data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed reports, and facilitating effective financial management across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or government/non-profit sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance, regulatory reporting standards, and technical accounting principles.
  • Proven expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency with accounting/ERP software including or similar to CETEC, Sage, and other financial management tools.
  • Excellent financial analysis skills with a solid understanding of cash management and forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately and communicate findings effectively through detailed reports.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive experience in GAAP and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Coordinate and perform accounts payable and accounts receivable (cash application) processes, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
  • Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end close procedures, and account reconciliations.
  • Perform cash management duties, including forecasting cash flow needs.
  • Write comprehensive financial reports to support management decision-making and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal policies related to financial reporting.
  • Utilize various accounting/ERP software such as CETEC, Sage, and other financial management tools to streamline processes.
  • Assist with budgeting processes, financial analysis, and forecasting activities to support organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical accounting issues such as payroll, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts.
