About The Position

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's accounting operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3-5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP with experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
Ability to work on-site in Boston required.

Nice To Haves

Prior accounting experience within healthcare, healthcare services, or a related regulated industry preferred.
CPA designation or prior public accounting experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage key aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
Analyze financial results and trends and provide meaningful insights to management.
Assist with financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
Support external audits by collaborating with auditors and preparing requested schedules and documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Stay informed on relevant healthcare industry regulations and accounting standards to help ensure compliance.
