About The Position

Manages financial records and ensures that the financial transactions are properly recorded. Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all transactions in the general ledger system.

Requirements

5+ years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting systems, and automated close tool software.
Advanced experience in Excel.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
Public Accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

Oversees the completion of general accounting functions, including research, report preparation, and analysis.
Completes various month-end close tasks, including calculating and preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Reviews, investigates, and corrects discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
Develops, implements, and maintains robust internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Provides detailed financial analysis and reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Mentors and develops junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Guarantees compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance.
Partners with business partners to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
