About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Multi-Company Accounting Specialist to manage accounting operations for multiple companies. The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks and Webgility experience, payroll processing skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial, inventory, and accounting records while meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3 or more years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly proficient in QuickBooks
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to focus on tedious tasks, such as data input, under stressful conditions
  • Proven ability to solve problems; must possess excellent analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus
  • Strong QuickBooks and Webgility experience
  • Payroll processing skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that accounts payables are paid in a timely manner, and that all reasonable discounts are taken
  • Enter bills and ensure purchase orders are being used
  • Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly
  • Ensure bank deposits are made, and that monthly bank reconciliations are completed
  • Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple companies using QuickBooks.
  • Verifies items billed against items ordered and received and reconciles differences through follow-up with the vendor and /or employees.
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records and reconciliations.
  • Manage Webgility and ensure accurate integration with QuickBooks and sales platforms.
  • Maintain and reconcile accurate inventory records across all companies.
  • Prepare accurate monthly financial and management reports.
  • Perform bank, credit card, inventory, payroll, and account reconciliations.
  • Review transactions for accuracy and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Works with department heads to manage the use of all company credit cards.
  • Maintain, and utilize credit cards in AP process for best benefit, and least amount of interest incurred.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Communicate with vendors, employees, management, and outside accounting professionals as needed.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
