Requirements

A degree in Accounting or Business (or equivalent work experience).
At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial institution operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and other Office tools.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive mindset with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all loan-related accounting and reporting, including problem loans, charge offs and repossessed assets.
Initiate borrowing transactions, as directed by management, including advances and paydowns.
Reconciliation of assigned accounts, including daily correspondent bank account
Regulatory reporting – planning, preparing and filing Call Report, FY Y-8, FR Y-9, FR Y-6, FR Y-10 and others
Management of collateral for borrowing relationships with Federal Home Loan Bank and AgriBank
Responsible for transfer agent duties and maintenance of Shareholder records
Preparation of internal management reports
Serves as backup for Finance & Accounting duties, as assigned, including Accounts Payable and Payroll Processing
Responsible for keeping internal work processes related to the position duties up to date
