Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred.
  • 4-6 years Accounting experience.
  • Preferably with individual accounting and bill pay, small companies or family office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills; detail-oriented; team player.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Bill.com preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate client cash reports using Quickbooks accounting software for monthly client deliverables and for in-house review of client disbursements and updating disbursement reports.
  • Download data from brokerage, bank and credit card accounts online into GL System for efficient and accurate record keeping.
  • Review client disbursements for accuracy in payment and coding.
  • Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records, reviewing same work when staff accountant is available to perform reconciliations.
  • Perform the work of a staff accountant when the position is either missing or temporarily out of office.
  • Maintain accurate books and records for clients personal and business activities.
  • Accurate and timely processing of personal bills for high-net-worth clientele using accounting software provided (Quickbooks Online and Bill.com).
  • Interact daily with clients and 3rd parties to collect vital data.
  • Manage client cash accounts and ensure sufficient funds are available for forecasted and extraordinary items such as capital calls and construction progress payments.
  • Ensure confidentiality of client’s records and files when dealing with client staff and 3rd party advisors.
  • Hold and manage online access codes for banks, brokerage, credit card and utility accounts.
  • Coach and mentor staff and be a knowledgeable resource for basic accounting, software needs and proper communication techniques.
  • Report to the Accounting Manager on day-to-day tasks and deliverables for client activity and workflow/process to improve productivity.
