About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a leading restoration company who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. Details below! As a senior accountant you will be responsible for:

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience
• A strong understanding of general ledger
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field
• Ability to use strong analytical problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• NetSuite experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Reconciling and managing balance sheet general ledger accounts for multiple legal entities
• Regularly maintaining detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
• Recording correcting journal entries, including recurring and reversing entries
• Analyzing budget and actual performance to budget for both projects/jobs and SG&A spend
• Reviewing expenses and capital expenditures for accuracy and ensure policy guidelines are followed
• Assisting in the preparation of documentation for external auditors
• Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements
• Interacting with internal departments and outside affiliates to implement accounting system functions
