About The Position
Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant applies knowledge of accounting principles, company systems, and internal controls to support financial reporting and operational decision-making. This role performs complex accounting activities, ensures compliance with company policies, and contributes to the accuracy and integrity of financial results. The position requires the ability to work onsite full-time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP or applicable accounting standards
- Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
- Experience with BlackLine
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Nice To Haves
- Fixed Assets accounting (capitalization, depreciation, asset lifecycle management)
- Intercompany accounting (reconciliations, settlements, eliminations)
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or progress toward certification
- Experience working in a large, multinational organization
- Exposure to shared services or corporate accounting environments
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including variance explanations
- Perform complex account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
- Prepare and post journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions
- Execute month-end close activities and maintain adherence to reporting deadlines
- Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP or applicable accounting standards
- Utilize SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA to process transactions and generate reports
- Leverage BlackLine to perform account reconciliations and manage close activities
- Research and resolve accounting issues, including those related to internal controls
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and process improvements
