As a Senior Accountant, you play a key role in maintaining the Bank’s financial integrity, producing accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting management with the information needed to make informed decisions. This is more than a transactional accounting role. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently while managing deadlines and priorities
- Professional communication skills and respect for confidentiality
- A collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset
Nice To Haves
- Prior bank accounting or financial institution experience
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly accounting close activities and prepare financial and management reports
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable and payable activity; provide backup support for accounts payable as needed
- Process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy
- Safeguard the Bank’s funds through effective use of Positive Pay controls and monitoring
- Prepare Call Report schedules and support regulatory reporting requirements
- Partner with other departments to ensure accurate reporting of financial activity
- Support the Controller and CFO with analysis, reporting, and special projects as needed
- Perform all duties in compliance with banking regulations, internal controls, and Bank policies
