This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports related to PJM activity. We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility. Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. This position does not offer relocation assistance.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of U.S. General Accounting Principles (GAAP) practices and procedures
  • Excellent SAP General Ledger skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Responsibilities

  • Gather, compile, and review weekly/monthly PJM activity to process weekly billings, record monthly GL acitivty, and distribute monthly records.
  • Conduct complex assignments and analysis involving the day-to-day maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Identify areas for increased process automation and other efficiencies and work to implement them.
  • Identify inconsistencies and problems and work to resolve them.
  • Perform appropriate accounting controls.
  • Participate in month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings and financial reporting activities.
  • Participate in and perform quarterly and year-end Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) financial reporting requirements and responsibilities.
  • Routinely interact with both internal and external customers.
