About The Position
We are a Japanese accounting firm seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with 3–5 years of experience who are looking to grow their career in a collaborative and flexible work environment.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (audit, public accounting, consulting, or in-house accounting)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Japanese-English bilingual required
- Native-level Japanese preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience in public accounting or audit is preferred
- Experience in a Big 4 or similar public accounting firm is highly preferred
- CPA license is not required; however, CPA candidates or those with relevant coursework are highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting services for clients, including financial reporting and analysis
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
- Handle general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
- Communicate with clients regarding financial matters and reporting
- Collaborate with internal team members and support junior staff as needed
