The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accurate completion of regular accounting tasks such as account reconciliations, ledgering of maintenance activity, and bank account reconciliations. This position will require you to work in the Corporate Headquarters office located in Overland Park, KS. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Must have 5-10 years of experience in accounting and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Experience with ERP systems required; NetSuite experience preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to research issues, document conclusions, and communicate findings clearly
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Own assigned areas of the month-end close process, including preparation, review readiness, and timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Prepare and post complex journal entries with supporting documentation
  • Assist with technical accounting research and documentation
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and disposals
  • Analysis of general ledger accounts for monthly closing
  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering General Ledger transactions into NetSuite
  • Assist with daily cash reconciliations and cash reporting
  • Participate in the monthly closing review process
  • Assist with annual financial statement audit
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining internal controls
  • Other duties as assigned
