About The Position

The Senior Accountant supports financial integrity and informed decision-making by ensuring accurate reporting, strengthening accounting processes, collaborating across departments, and upholding confidentiality, service excellence, and healthcare regulatory responsibility. This role partners with Finance team members, department leaders, auditors, and other stakeholders to provide reliable financial information, resolve accounting questions, strengthen internal processes, and support effective decision-making. The Senior Accountant also assists with key accounting functions such as Medicare cost reporting, lease billing, inventory audits, accounts payable support, and other Finance Department needs while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
  • 2 years of healthcare finance, reimbursement or accounting experience at minimum, preferably in a healthcare-related setting.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to use Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and data review.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and analyze financial data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with leaders, coworkers, auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, or other applicable accounting certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports accurate and timely financial reporting by preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, reviewing financial activity, and supporting audit and healthcare-specific reporting requirements.
  • Partners with Finance team members, department leaders, auditors, and other stakeholders to provide reliable financial information, resolve accounting questions, strengthen internal processes, and support effective decision-making.
  • Assists with key accounting functions such as Medicare cost reporting, lease billing, inventory audits, accounts payable support, and other Finance Department needs while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and service excellence.
