About The Position

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for recommendations and posting of all general ledger entries. This role works closely with various internal departments including AP, AR, Contracts, and Payroll. The employee will serve as an administrator on several systems including: Deltek Costpoint, UKG, SAP Concur, Corporate Banking and Credit Card Account.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent job experience in accounting.
2–3 years previous GL Experience.
Proficient with Office 365 with extensive skills using Excel Spreadsheets
US Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Security Clearance is required.

Experience with UKG Payroll Systems
Experience with Deltek Costpoint
Experience working in a Government Contracting environment.
Active DoD Security Clearance Preferred

Responsibilities

Identify and reconcile daily/monthly activities in back accounts.
Review and reconcile General Ledger accounts compliant to GAAP and FAR regulations.
Review and post all AP vouchers, AR Billing, Cash Disbursements and Journal Entries.
Reconcile monthly credit card activity using SAP Concur, Deltek Costpoint, and JPMorgan Chase.
Prepare monthly borrowing base report.
Research tax laws and regulations and implement as necessary into general accounting practices.
Ensure accuracy and respond to notices from tax authorities.
Assist in the completion of various corporate tax returns.
Manage month end process and provide direction to staff members.
Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management.
Assist with the end of year closing functions.
Communicate with both internal and external customers in an effective manner.
Interact with customers and clients on a daily basis and troubleshoot potential problems for guests as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
