About The Position
MANTECH International Corporation is seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Senior Accountant to join its team in Herndon, Virginia. This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence on Thursdays. The Senior Accountant supports the General Ledger department’s month-end close and preparation of GAAP financial statements, and is responsible for complex balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and accounting documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure.
- Experience leading meetings with other departments.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- U.S. citizenship.
Nice To Haves
- Accounting degree with four years of experience.
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or another government contractor financial software package.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Deltek Costpoint.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Ledger department during month-end close and assist in preparing GAAP financial statements.
- Own and prepare complex, high-priority balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accruals.
- Review accounting documents and schedules for computational accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
