Requirements
- Advanced Excel experience; including manipulating large datasets, creating complex formulas, and generating reports.
- Demonstrated success applying GAAP (IFRS) to financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP.
- Progressive experience in general ledger accounting in a corporate environment.
- Progressive experience with account reconciliation/intercompany reconciliations and reserve balance analysis.
- Experience with reporting systems.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Knowledge of Oracle
- 5+ years related experience in general ledger accounting in corporate environment
Responsibilities
- Ensure application of company policies and accounting guidelines.
- Support timely resolution of issues.
- Support accurate and timely processing of subledger and GL recordings.
- Support awareness and adherence to internal controls.
- Ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial reports.
- Participate in month end close activities; prepare journal entries and enter journal entries for posting such as fixed asset, sales/marketing programs and warranty cost analysis.
- Create master data records and maintain subledger entries.
- Advise internal departments.
- Provide information and answers to financial and JSOX auditors.
- Prepare the parents company reporting package.
- GL accounts reconciliation and analysis; including fluctuation analysis.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures for responsible tasks.
