Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the automotive industry or a multinational corporation.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP), standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience in managing the general ledger, financial reporting and intra-group transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting software (SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • A CPA, CA/ ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close process, including reconciliations of balance sheets and profit & loss accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with our intra-group regulations and reporting requirements for all intra-group transactions.
  • Support a smooth submission and reporting of financial statements for consolidation with VW Group Accounting monthly.
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
  • Support the finance team with technical queries and ensure the correct application of accounting principles.
  • Ensure accurate management of capitalized development costs and assets under construction (IAS 16, IAS 38).
  • Responsible for completing the accounting and financial statements for Scout Motors Inc. non-consolidated entity Scout Motors Sales LLC from beginning to the end.
  • Support in accounts payable processes and system migrations.
  • Provide detailed analysis and insights on financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Interpret and apply technical accounting standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
  • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation of audit schedules, including reconciliations and analyses of financial data.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting operations to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems or upgrades.
