About The Position

Boston Scientific’s Cardiovascular Finance and Accounting Group is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will perform a variety of general accounting responsibilities, including analyzing accounts, preparing reports, executing the monthly financial close, and supporting other divisional accounting and reporting activities. Qualities you will bring include strong communication skills, the ability to effectively partner with cross‑functional stakeholders, and demonstrated success managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, along with a self‑directed, analytical, and detail‑oriented approach to owning key accounting and financial reporting responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of progressive experience with a public accounting firm, or combined experience with a large, complex multi-national company
  • Technical Accounting experience
  • Strong integrity
  • Proactive, self-starter, detail oriented, and a team player

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of progressive Accounting experience in medical devices, life sciences, or similarly regulated, innovation‑driven industries
  • Active CPA license
  • ASC 606 knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications; SAP and Hyperion experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical accounting support; participating in research, implementation, and monitoring activities
  • Compiling and analyzing financial information through preparation of reports, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations
  • Analyze and manage complex accounting topics involving revenue, inventory, and capitalized assets, applying sound judgment and partnering cross‑functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Proactively identifying business risks and providing recommendations to mitigate
  • Taking an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, standardizing processes across multiple legal entities
  • Leveraging systems and capabilities to find new efficiencies
  • Working to deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners
  • Preparing balance sheet reporting package and providing meaningful commentary
  • Liaise and communicate with finance management, cross-functional business partners, and global regions
  • Maintaining internal control environment and assisting with regular SOX documentation and testing requirements
  • Supporting internal and external audits
