About the Role The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the integrity of our financial operations. This position is responsible for key month-end and year-end close activities, financial analysis, and reporting, while also helping modernize and improve accounting processes within a strong internal controls environment. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities. You’ll help transform financial processes, identify efficiencies, and partner with business teams to streamline end-to-end workflows that support a growing, innovation-driven organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar, Master’s a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (including 2+ years in public accounting preferred)
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and general ledger transactions
  • Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and implement process improvements
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools that improve financial analysis and efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Draft clear, high-quality financial commentary and explanations of account activity
  • Reconcile intercompany balances with subsidiaries
  • Prepare recurring reports and deliverables for internal stakeholders
  • Trace transactions through SAP to identify and resolve issues
  • Clearly explain complex transactions using T-accounts and accounting logic
  • Conduct GAAP research and prepare technical accounting position papers
  • Prepare supporting documentation for external auditors
  • Review current accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Implement enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Create documentation and standard operating procedures for accounting activities
  • Leverage technology and analytical tools to increase productivity and insight
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Staff Accountants
  • Lead small projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Facilitate group training sessions and knowledge sharing across the accounting team
