About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team and take ownership of our financial operations across the U.S. and UK. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is eager to dive deep, drive process improvements, and maintain the highest standards of accounting practices. Reporting to the Controller, you'll manage all aspects of our accounting lifecycle — from daily transactions to month-end closes and annual financial reporting — while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic financial insights for the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience (AP, AR, GL, close, reporting)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Proven experience in a technology, SaaS, or startup environment managing rapid growth and changing financial needs
  • Hands-on experience using AI-driven tools to streamline accounting workflows, automate reconciliations, and enhance reporting accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis)
  • Experience managing multi-entity or international accounting (U.S./UK operations)
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, or bookkeeping certification is a plus
  • experience with NetSuite, Ramp, or other cloud-based accounting systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including vendor invoices, collections, and customer account reconciliations
  • Maintain the General Ledger with accurate journal entries, proper account coding, and regular reconciliations
  • Execute daily bank reconciliations and cash management tasks
  • Own the complete monthly close process, including accrual adjustments and variance analysis
  • Prepare timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for internal management and stakeholders
  • Lead quarterly and annual close processes, coordinating with auditors and ensuring audit-ready documentation year-round
  • Manage multi-state sales tax reporting, filings, and registrations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls, including payroll tax and corporate tax preparation support
  • Work across QuickBooks and NetSuite to manage data integrity and system configurations
  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend automation or system improvements
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and FP&A teams to provide timely financial data and support business decisions
