MTG is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our Accounting team and partner closely with the Director of Accounts Payable & SG&A. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, supporting month-end close activities, AP analysis, and helping drive business performance through strong financial analysis and operational partnership. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across accounting, finance, and operations teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and financial reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a multi-location, construction, manufacturing, distribution, or service-based environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support the Director of Accounts Payable & SG&A with financial reporting, analysis, and accounting initiatives that support business operations and company growth.
Assist with the monthly close, including preparing detailed account reconciliations, researching discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Perform detailed analysis of SG&A spend, budgets, financial targets, and variances, identifying trends and providing meaningful insights.
Partner with Operations and business leaders to understand financial drivers, improve visibility into spending, and support informed decision-making.
Collaborate with the Accounting team on month-end and quarterly reporting, process improvements, special projects, and training, utilizing strong Excel and analytical skills.
