Requirements

  • CPA or bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Good understanding of IFRS, Canada and U.S. GAAP.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience including 2+ years of GL accounting and financial analysis experience at senior position.
  • Significant hands-on experience using an integrated and scaled ERP system (MS Dynamic preferred).
  • Proficiency in financial modeling using analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, experience in manipulating large databases a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills both in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Post and reconcile payroll entries to ensure accuracy and balance.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements with internal records to identify discrepancies and safeguard assets.
  • Perform monthly reviews, reclassifications, and reconciliations to maintain ledger accuracy.
  • Manage fixed assets and record monthly depreciation.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing for all entities.
  • Manage full-cycle accounting for related entities, covering all aspects of financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Oversee recording and reconciliation of transactions across AP, AR, payroll, and the general ledger.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close.
  • Generate financial reports, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support audits.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, including capital and investment analysis, to support strategic planning.
  • Track KPIs and analyze results against budgets and benchmarks to assess performance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and variance analysis to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax regulations, maintain internal controls, and support audits.
  • Provide backup for accounting staff’s daily activities and assist with special projects or other ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Follow all procedures in compliance of Accuenergy (Canada) Inc standard policy and operation regulations.
  • Any other operation-related responsibilities may be added as company continues to grow.
