About The Position

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant. This role will play a key part in financial reporting, month-end close activities, cash management, variance analysis, and audit support. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle accounting experience and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience required.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close schedules.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Yardi and/or Bill.com is a plus.
Experience within real estate, construction and development, or logistics environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Support cash management activities, including monitoring cash flow and maintaining cash forecasts.
Perform variance analysis and investigate fluctuations between actual and budgeted results.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring documentation is complete and audit-ready.
Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and management teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
Assist with process improvements and internal control initiatives.
