About The Position

The Senior Accountant will support various financial processes, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and audit assistance. This senior professional will work closely with everyone on the General Accounting and financial team to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely financial operations.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and accounting systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a dynamic work setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in accounting and general ledger management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with foreign currency accounting and sales tax compliance preferred.
  • Experience with Syteline ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own key components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Support financial reporting by analyzing account activity, researching variances, and preparing schedules for management review.
  • Maintain accurate accounting documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and process accounting information.
  • Support internal, external, bank, and compliance audits by preparing requested schedules, documentation, and financial data.
  • Oversee job, project, tariff and inventory-related accounting activity within the ERP system, including tracking, reconciliation, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor and reconcile foreign currency transactions, including exchange rate impacts, revaluations, and related reporting requirements.
  • Support sales tax compliance by preparing, reviewing, and reconciling sales tax filings, exemption certificates, and related account activity.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly bank reporting and assist with covenant or lender reporting requirements, as needed.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by compiling and reviewing relevant financial data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and department efficiency.
  • Handle other accounting-related projects and responsibilities as assigned.
