About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY:This position will be responsible for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting processes and procedures, including the maintenance of internal controls in accordance with Company policies to comply with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). This position is responsible for assisting in completion of the financial closing process to ensure compilation of complete, accurate, and timely financial statements and supporting records, such as account reconciliations and related analysis, each month in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Assist the Controller and Assistant Controller in preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and related analyses on a timely basis, which requires a basic understanding of the business as well as consolidations, foreign currency translation and cash flows Prepare assigned monthly journal entries ensuring accuracy of the General Ledger Prepare assigned monthly General Ledger account reconciliations within BlackLine, ensuring reconciling items are appropriately supported and any differences resolved timely Complete assigned reserve analyses and record any resulting adjustments in the General Ledger which may include but not limited to reserves for revenue, inventory, and medical expenses Assist in continuous evaluation of processes and related controls to ensure effective, efficient, and consistently operating processes Perform periodic reviews of controls and processes for the organization to maintain compliance with SOX Perform Great Plains System administrative tasks, including setup of accounts, opening and closing of accounting periods, and assisting in system testing as required Serve as a point of contact for assigned external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses and proper documentation Partner with Finance and cross-functional departments (e.g., Operations, Supply Chain, IT) to gather information, resolve accounting questions, approve purchase requests and support accurate financial reporting. Other monthly responsibilities include:o Perform ongoing analysis and tracking of fixed assets, including monthly roll-forward and capital spending analyseso Perform ongoing analyses and tracking of accruals, including coordination of monthly department meetings to assist in the determination of accrued liabilities and reasonableness of reported expense in comparison with forecast, budget and/or prior periodso Ensure transactions for assigned areas are recorded in compliance with US GAAP o Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, including cash flow, and coordinate with others as needed for creation of schedules, analyses and information required for the ongoing operations of the Companyo Other responsibilities as assigned ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Regular and predictable work performance Ability to work under fast-paced conditions Ability to make decisions and use good judgment Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required Ability to successfully work with others Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in general accounting and/or financial auditing
  • Data and financial analysis experience
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, high initiative and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting experience
  • Strong spreadsheet and other basic PC program skills
  • Ability to travel 5%
  • Regular and predictable work performance

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting
  • Experience in a medical manufacturing environment
  • CPA certification strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP or Oracle Fusion

Responsibilities
