About The Position

The Senior Accountant provides support to critical areas of the corporate accounting and financial reporting function. This role will be responsible for complex accounting and reporting activities across treasury, debt and interest accounting, lease accounting, stock compensation, intangible assets, purchase accounting, consolidations, technical accounting, and financial reporting under both IFRS and U.S. GAAP. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly and quarterly close processes, lender and covenant reporting, balance sheet integrity, audit support, and continuous process improvement. This individual will partner closely with FP&A, HR, IT, operations, foreign locations, and business unit leaders to ensure accurate accounting, complete reporting, and strong internal controls. The role also requires the ability to independently research technical accounting matters, prepare accounting memoranda and policies, and review work prepared by less experienced accountants where needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years of financial reporting experience.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of responsibilities, works independently, and proactively drives issues to resolution with limited oversight.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, incomplete information, and evolving business needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated professional with a strong work ethic and a focus on improving processes, strengthening accountability, and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including key accounting entries, reconciliations, and estimates.
  • Manage financial reporting, balance sheet analysis, and business performance support.
  • Prepare and maintain external reporting, technical accounting documentation, and accounting policies under IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
  • Oversee treasury, debt, cash forecasting, covenant compliance, and lender reporting.
  • Own complex accounting areas, including leases, stock compensation, intangibles, impairment, and M&A accounting.
  • Manage consolidations, intercompany activity, foreign currency accounting, and eliminations across global entities.
  • Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, support audits, and review work of junior team members.
