This position will be reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will play an integral role on a collaborative accounting team, supporting the monthly financial close while taking ownership of work-in-process (WIP) accounting, inventory accounting, and related cost accounting responsibilities. This is a broad, hands-on position that offers exposure to many aspects of the business. You’ll partner closely with operations, purchasing, and production leaders, giving you the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the company’s manufacturing operations while expanding your accounting expertise. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and the month-end close process.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a small to mid-sized organization preferred.
  • Manufacturing, inventory accounting, or cost accounting experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • Public accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Own the accounting for inventory, work-in-process (WIP), and related manufacturing transactions.
  • Analyze inventory activity, variances, and inventory reserves.
  • Support cost accounting processes, product costing, and manufacturing reporting.
  • Partner with operations and production leadership to improve inventory accuracy and financial reporting.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting.
  • Support annual audits and provide requested documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as the organization continues to grow.
