About The Position

As part of the Cloud Software Group’s Accounting team, you will be involved in a multitude of accounting activities, supporting the overall financial and accounting functions. This role involves reviewing payroll data, reconciling payroll-related accounts, preparing journal entries for payroll expenses, accruals, benefits, and adjustments, and assisting in month-end and year-end close activities related to employee liabilities accounts. Additionally, you will prepare and record journal entries for commission and bonus, reconcile these accounts, and partner with HR, Payroll, and FP&A teams to validate data and resolve discrepancies. You will also support audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in corporate / GL function or combination with public accounting experience
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve on time accurate results
  • Work in a structured manner and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • A sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a holistic understanding of how accounting processes align with broader objectives
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements
  • Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems and implement best practices through teamwork and collaboration
  • Experience with a large ERP system, Oracle Fusion a plus
  • Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with MS Excel
  • Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed
  • High attention to details and accuracy, excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Review payroll data to ensure accurate postings to the general ledger
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts (wages, taxes, benefits and deductions) on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and record journal entries for payroll expense, accruals, benefits and adjustments
  • Assist in month-end and year end close activities related to employee liabilities accounts
  • Prepare and record journal entries for commission and bonus
  • Reconcile commission and bonus accounts
  • Partner with HR, Payroll teams and FP&A team to validate payroll data and resolve discrepancies
  • Support audits by providing payroll GL documentation and reconciliations
