Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong ownership of month-end close activities
  • Experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
  • Fixed asset accounting experience
  • ERP system experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, LOOKUP functions, and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Own key components of the month-end close process in a fast-paced four-day close environment
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other month-end accounting transactions
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies independently
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and reporting
  • Support inventory accounting activities and help ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Analyze financial data and explain accounting results to internal stakeholders and auditors
  • Assist with audit requests and maintain organized supporting documentation
  • Prepare financial schedules and contribute to financial statement preparation
  • Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel tools to support reporting and analysis
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Partner with accounting leadership in a lean environment where every team member plays a critical role
