About The Position

The Senior Accountant plays a significant role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with GAAP and a proactive approach to process improvement. This is a full-time, permanent, exempt position that is remote in the United States.

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance degree.
• At least 6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with the full-cycle accounting month-end close process.
• Experience with international transactions, including foreign exchange transactions and intercompany reconciliations.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills when working across multiple teams.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, and self-direct in a remote workplace.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• CPA or CPA candidate.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Experience working in a SaaS company or technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly closing activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and properly recording transactions.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger to ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Maintain and reconcile asset databases and amortization schedules.
• Record and reconcile monthly expense accruals across multiple vendors.
• Serve as a contact for audit and tax matters and provide requested PBCs.
• Develop and document key processes and controls.
• Prepare narratives and financial statement footnotes.
• Prepare monthly financial analysis decks.
• Use accounting software and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
