About The Position

This role is pivotal to the accrual and cash basis financial reporting and analysis efforts, ensuring accurate financial statements, while overseeing general ledger accounting operations.

Requirements

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Sage Intacct is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheet and income statements.
Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and report on variances to support decision-making processes.
Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Assist in compliance with internal accounting controls and safeguard financial assets.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
When needed, assist in coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
Identify accounting process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance financial operations.
Support physical inventories at multiple sites.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data.
