The candidate will also help improve and automate the AP process across Infor SyteLine, our banking platforms, and related systems. This is a hands-on position requiring strong accounting knowledge, advanced SyteLine experience, and the ability to work through detailed transactional data.

  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex subledgers to the general ledger
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, accruals, etc.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of transactional data
  • Ability to identify weaknesses in existing accounting processers and implement sustainable reconciliations, controls and more efficient workflows.
  • Comfortable working with limited oversight
  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant hands-on general ledger and reconciliation experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on Infor SyteLine experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed reconciliations of the AP and AR aging reports to their respective general ledger control accounts.
  • Identify the causes of historical discrepancies, including unsupported journal entries, incorrect postings, duplicate transactions, unapplied cash, unmatched invoices, open vouchers, and timing differences.
  • Research and resolve aged or invalid AP and AR balances.
  • Review vendor and customer records for duplicate, inactive, or incorrectly configured accounts.
  • Prepare and document correcting journal entries and subledger adjustments.
  • Support the cleanup of general ledger accounts and historical transactions.
  • Ensure corrections preserve the appropriate transaction history and audit trail.
  • Create repeatable monthly reconciliation processes to prevent future subledger-to-general-ledger discrepancies.
  • Review project accounting and project/WIP balances, reconcile project costs to the GL, identify completed or inactive projects with residual balances, and ensure costs are appropriately classified.
  • Support the accounting for equipment/systems manufactured internally and subsequently converted from inventory or project WIP to fixed assets, ensuring material, labor and applicable overhead are properly transferred and depreciation begins when the asset is placed in service.
  • Reconcile fixed assets and accumulated depreciation to the GL, including additions, transfers, disposals and depreciation.
  • Review intercompany inventory, equipment and project transactions, including balances between entities, and assist with identifying and correcting out-of-balance positions.
