The Senior Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements. This role involves preparing daily and monthly journal entries for general ledger and fixed assets, reviewing fixed assets for accurate accounting, and calculating monthly depreciation expense. The individual will ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, and be responsible for capital expenditure reports. Key duties also include reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly, cross-training with other accounting staff, and assisting in the preparation of explanations for monthly P&L meetings. The position requires handling monthly and quarterly regulatory compliance filings, preparing sales and use tax returns, and annual gaming tax return filings. The Senior Accountant will also assist CCCR department personnel with questions and concerns and support internal and external audits. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, adaptable to changing priorities, self-motivated, and capable of working in a team environment.
