About The Position

Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant applies advanced accounting knowledge to manage assigned accounting areas, lead components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and support financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. This role partners cross‑functionally, supports internal and external audits, and contributes to continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls. Requirements

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience Requirements: 4–6 years experience in relevant field
  • Experience working in a SOX‑compliant environment
  • Ability to meet close and reporting deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency and experience with enterprise accounting or close management systems
  • Adaptability and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
  • Strong accounting judgment with a results‑oriented and continuous improvement mindset
  • Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute assigned aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entry preparation, review, posting, and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and analyses while proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Partner with finance, operations, and other cross‑functional teams to support business activities and resolve accounting matters
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and explaining accounting conclusions
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiency while supporting system enhancements and automation initiatives
  • Assist with interpretation and application of accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and informal mentoring to staff accountants as appropriate
