About The Position

This role is with a well-established, stable and growing public accounting firm located in the Walnut Creek area and is open to candidates across the country. The position will be integral to the accounting of closely held businesses and will be responsible for organizing and managing client assignments, tax returns, financials and related projects. The firm has a strong track record of promoting from within, and manager level roles are also available. Candidates with a desire to coach, mentor, and lead teams are strongly preferred.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience with public accounting, audit and an understanding of tax
• Experience with the preparation of reviewed and compiled financial statements
• Professional proficiency with recognized tax, audit and accounting software systems
• Excellent verbal and written communicator
• Has earned a Bachelor’s degree ideally in, or with a focus on, accounting

Nice To Haves

• Licensed (or on track to earning) CPA or EA
• An interest in mentoring and leading growing teams
