Comunale can work in virtually every market sector and facility type. The primary function of this role is to be responsible for the accounting and financial activities of the company. This job requires attention to detail with a focus towards data entry, accuracy, and communication.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
  • 5 years of accounting experience is required.
  • Possessing excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees in multiple disciplines is required.
  • Ability to be trusted with confidential information is required.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel) applications is required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
  • Demonstrating integrity and professionalism is required.
  • Demonstrating commitment to company values is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment is required.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA is a plus and preferred.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application to engineering, construction, and manufacturing as well as general business transactions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reoccurring journal entries.
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger for both book and tax purposes.
  • Record, classify and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals (GAAP)
  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits.
  • Maintain regular and detailed interaction with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and job cost functions for analytical and process support.
  • Provide support for accurate and timely preparation of financial and cost accounting reports.
  • Monthly and quarterly tax returns.
  • Job cost data entry.
  • Enter and balance daily cash receipts, ACH and credit card payments.
  • Branch office bank reconciliations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
