Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and operational accounting functions
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Sound judgment and professionalism
• Commitment to continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to identify and improve accounting or operational processes preferred
• Experience working in fast-paced, evolving business environments preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Responsibilities

• Own core accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate and timely month-end close
• Analyze financial data and independently investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Support and improve billing, collections, and cash application processes
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, including complex or variable billing components
• Partner cross-functionally with operational teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Assist with financial reporting, audit support, and documentation requests
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and operational scalability
• Develop and maintain organized accounting procedures and supporting documentation
• Provide support and backup coverage across accounting functions as needed
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve reporting accuracy
