About The Position

Responsible for overseeing accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Partners with leadership to support business growth, improve processes and develop scalable accounting systems, while supporting and developing the accounting team. Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of financial statements and close packages. Oversee and perform account reconciliations, including bank, revenue, payroll, intercompany, and key balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of discrepancies. Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and general ledger maintenance. Oversee invoicing and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely collections. Oversee vendor and employee expense management, including review and approval, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with company policies. Prepare and review intercompany and other journal entries; maintain the integrity of the general ledger. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights to support decision-making. Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Online) to improve accuracy and efficiency. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Develop and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency and standardization across accounting processes. Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership to support initiatives and growth. Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Supervise and support accounting team members, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work. Participate in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Travel domestically as needed (up to 25%).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7+ years of accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and expense management.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate and optimize accounting and operational systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Paylocity, WellSky, and Google Workspace).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • This role is eligible for hybrid work after 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or advanced certification is a plus.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.
  • Experience with hiring and performance management is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
