The Collier Companies is seeking an Accountant! This role will report out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville. The Accountant will join the Collier Accounting team and will be primarily responsible for financial accounting needs of our construction projects and assigned financial analysis. Requirements

Bachelors degree in accounting
Strong Excel skills/experience required
Possess sufficient knowledge of internal systems/controls to evaluate current processes
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to complete complex reconciliations
Attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing
Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
Willingness and ability to accept new projects as they develop

Nice To Haves

CPA a plus
Construction accounting knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

Financial accounting needs of construction projects
Assigned financial analysis
Preparation of various financial statements and analysis reports
Provide an analytical review of financial results using Excel, Word or Powerpoint
Review and approve vendor invoices for accuracy, validity and completeness
