About The Position

Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization. Prepares Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintains schedules/roll forwards (e.g., cash, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, credit cards, deferrals). This role is a vital member of the accounting team, owning month-end close tasks, driving process improvements and efficiencies to balance sheet reconciliations through the automatization and/or simplification of key processes. Works with the Corporate Controller and Accounting Manager on technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Company policies. Collaborates with external auditors with assistance, gathering necessary account information and documents to perform the annual audit. Supports the organization and execution of the annual Physical Inventory or Cycle Counting process. Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. This position requires access to or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Accordingly, applicants must be U.S. Persons or must be eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce. A U.S. Person is defined as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or a person who is a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C.1324(b)(a)(3).

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
  • Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain export authorizations

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Prior experience with Government/Defense Contractor is a plus
  • Experience with SAP highly preferred
