About The Position

The Senior Accountant owns assigned balance sheet accounts, prepares the entries that affect those accounts, keeps them reconciled throughout the month, and delivers reconciliations ready for approval by the close-calendar deadlines. The role covers Cash & Treasury and Fixed Assets, Leases & Prepaids across three entities (CLT, CHH, and LWS), with a named approver for each assigned account. Over time, the role progresses toward ownership of additional close functions in line with the Senior Accountant development plan. The role prepares and posts entries and schedules for assigned accounts, completes close activities, supports financial statements and annual reviews, and maintains written procedures. It also identifies and implements automation using Business Central, Power Automate, and related tools. The Senior Accountant serves as designated backup to the A/P Specialist for cards and spend programs. The role may manage journal entries within established thresholds, reconciliation methods and supporting documentation, and requests for support or corrections from transaction owners. Unreconciled differences above thresholds or older than one period, as well as non-routine transactions and accounting-treatment questions, are escalated to the Accounting Manager.
