About The Position

Brayman Construction Corporation in Saxonburg, PA is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to play a key role within our Accounting Team. This position is responsible for leading the month-end close process, supporting the preparation of financial statements, assisting with tax computations, and providing timely financial analysis and periodic reporting for a diverse group of companies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. The schedule for this position is typically Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Flexibility is occasionally required to meet operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field required.
  • At least 4-6 years of experience, to include month-end close

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and records journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses, including preparation of supporting entry packages and account analysis.
  • Assist Accounting Manager in the month end close process to ensure items are completed timely and accurately.
  • Perform analytical procedures to evaluate financial results and projections.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements for both internal and external reporting.
  • Maintenance of equipment and fixed asset records, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of items.
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
