About The Position

Regional West Health Services is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for general ledger activities, financial statement preparation, audits, and reporting for assigned corporate entities. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the organization’s financial integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare financial experience strongly preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the general ledger is accurate and all account reconciliations for assigned entities are complete.
Prepare monthly financial statements and write insightful narratives explaining financial results.
Prepare Form 990 tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Build year-end workpapers and analyses for independent audits.
Identify internal audit opportunities, conduct reviews, and share findings with leadership.
Support Accounts Payable functions or guide AP staff to ensure efficient invoice and payment processes.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for Finance leadership or Medical Center management.
Collaborate with financial services relationships with Panhandle Network Hospitals.
Participate in Finance department meetings, contribute expertise, and drive alignment across initiatives.
Build relationships across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Engage in professional development and Medical Center-related activities.
