About The Position

The Senior Accountant I supports accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across Didlake’s contract, commercial, and corporate business lines. This role ensures strong internal controls, reliable reporting, and effective billing processes that support organizational leadership and mission impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting billing, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations in a multi-line or contract-based environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience working with computerized accounting systems.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Professional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting billing, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations in a multi-line or contract-based environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform moderately complex accounting activities including general ledger, accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, and revenue review.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing to customers and funders; maintain customer, rate, and contract data in accounting systems.
  • Review routine and non-routine contracts for appropriate accounting treatment and accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and supporting schedules in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with cash receipts, bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable reporting.
  • Support monthly financial reporting for department leaders and executive management.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and external audit preparation.
  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls; recommend process improvements.
  • Provide guidance to Accounting Specialists and collaborate with the accounting team.
