Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (or equivalent) degree with a focus in Accounting
At least one year of experience in the insurance accounting field or equivalent experience in a business environment, including SAP/GAAP applications, or equivalent public accounting experience is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Knowledge of computer applications including Excel and Word.
Self-starter, with a superior work ethic, a high level of integrity, and a commitment to excellence in both personal and business affairs

Nice To Haves

CPA Preferred.

Responsibilities

Preparing, recording, reporting, and/or analyzing moderately complex internal financial information in compliance with applicable accounting guidance, regulatory requirements and rating agency guidelines, within an appropriate control environment.
Preparing, recording, reporting, and/or analyzing moderately complex external financial information in compliance with applicable accounting guidance, regulatory requirements and rating agency guidelines, within an appropriate control environment.
Reconciling and/or reviewing moderately complex general ledger accounts and assessing the appropriate accounting treatment under management direction.
Provide support to others.
Some overtime and weekends may be required.
This position has the possibility of remote work two days a week after initial training period.
