As a Senior Accountant within the Assurance practice, you'll take an active role in managing client engagements while gaining exposure to technical accounting, audit, bookkeeping, and financial reporting responsibilities. You'll develop expertise in Financial Statement Audits, Reviews & Compilations, Nonprofit Organizations, Financial Reporting, Internal Controls, Bookkeeping & Accounting Services, Tax Compliance, Client Relationship Management, and Leadership Development. This role offers outstanding variety and exposure for professionals looking to broaden their public accounting experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 1–3 years of public accounting experience
  • Experience with audit, accounting, or assurance engagements
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • CPA progress
  • Prior in-charge engagement experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures engagements
  • Serve as in-charge on assigned engagements
  • Coordinate client communications and engagement timelines
  • Prepare audit documentation and supporting workpapers
  • Identify accounting issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Prepare financial statements and related disclosures
  • Analyze accounting records and financial information
  • Research accounting and assurance issues
  • Support compliance with applicable reporting standards
  • Assist with technical accounting matters as needed
  • Prepare moderate to complex income tax and informational returns
  • Organize supporting tax documentation
  • Conduct tax and accounting research
  • Assist with special projects and advisory engagements
  • Help identify opportunities to add value to client relationships
  • Assist clients with monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping needs
  • Record and classify financial transactions
  • Prepare payroll, sales tax, and local tax filings
  • Draft financial reports and account reconciliations
  • Create and maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
  • Train and mentor interns and entry-level staff
  • Provide engagement feedback and guidance
  • Participate in mentoring and career development initiatives
  • Continue progressing toward CPA certification
  • Develop supervisory and leadership skills
