About The Position

Aritzia is growing, and its Financial Reporting team is expanding. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a team responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting to business leaders and external partners. As a Senior Accountant / Accountant, Financial Reporting, you will help ensure the quality and accuracy of all regulatory and external financial reporting and contribute to the success of financial audits. Your responsibilities will include processing complex financial transactions, providing necessary analysis and reports, assisting in resolving complex accounting issues to ensure financial statements comply with accounting standards, ensuring assigned areas meet regulatory reporting requirements while minimizing risk, and supporting the delivery of analysis and reporting to executive management and the Board.

Requirements

• Accounting and Financial Reporting in a comparable role
• CPA (Canada) designation
• Highly proficient in Excel and digital/automation tools
• A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
• The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
• A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

Responsibilities

• Process complex financial transactions and provide required analysis and reports
• Assist in resolving complex accounting issues for relevant areas, ensuring Aritzia’s financial statements comply with accounting standards
• Ensure assigned areas meet regulatory reporting requirements, while minimizing Aritzia’s risk exposure
• Assist in delivering analysis and reporting to executive management and Board
