We are looking for a culturally-connected and dynamic Account Supervisor to join our consumer lifestyle group working on accounts in the food and beverage space. This role will have a high focus on consumer media relations, influencer engagement and project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6-9 years related professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key day-to-day client contact
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of client’s business and industry
  • Develop long term plans and program recommendations for clients
  • Provide client counsel on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans
  • Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
  • Direct client editorial programs
  • Develop client presentations
  • Know the industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client
  • Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of relevant client media
  • Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts
  • Conduct media outreach
  • Write and/or edit media relations materials
  • Qualify media inquiries
  • Direct and supervise the logistics of events (eg: satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.)
  • Supervise media list development
  • Develop proposals, releases, customer profiles, bylined articles and other press materials
  • Account for quality control and final review of all letters, memos, meeting reports, and client materials
  • Instruct staff in the areas of writing and editing as necessary
  • Contribute to the development of strategic client plans
  • Develop work plan of junior team members
  • Ensure quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations
  • Train and develop staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Be involved in staffing of team, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
  • Serve as a role model to other team members
  • Attend account reviews and staff meetings – provide ongoing communications and feedback
  • Successfully contribute to the growth of existing accounts
  • Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business
