Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure On-Time Scheduled Delivery Of Customers’ Commodity Requirements. Place accurate orders in a timely manner, conducting thorough inventory analysis, maintaining frequent supplier follow-up, and achieving 100% on-time delivery with no short shipments or missed shipments.
  • Improve Customer Service. Maintain thorough knowledge of customers and their expectations; provide rapid responses to inquiries; ensure no pending claims; conduct regularly scheduled visits to customer facilities; and strive to exceed customer expectations. Must be well-versed in multiple commodities (Steel, Aluminum, Resin, and Scrap) and support plant-specific new model launches and teardown activities.
  • Improve Supplier Management. Serve as the primary contact and liaison between HTA and assigned suppliers (mills, raw material suppliers, freight providers, etc.); regularly provide feedback to support QCDDM philosophy and supplier evaluations by coordinating meetings, establishing and tracking delivery performance goals, and preparing agendas and presentation materials. Maintain open lines of communication to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize production and cost data to manage supplier manufacturing processes related to coil yield efficiency. Manage supplier performance metrics and presentation tables, and facilitate effective communication between Customer Purchasing, Accounting, and Supplier Sales and Technical teams.
  • Lead and Coordinate Cost Reduction & Development Projects. Work closely with suppliers, customers, and HTA internal teams to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities. Conduct problem and situation analyses to evaluate potential benefits, establish project timelines, and communicate effectively to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. Provide regular updates and present project results to management. Lead and manage the monthly cost analysis with NAP to identify cost discrepancies, evaluate supplier manufacturing performance, and assess its impact on unit cost.
  • Support on-site labor at AEP, TMP, and OSP by ensuring plant requirements are clearly communicated, incidents are addressed efficiently, and proactive support is provided for on-site needs through MRO management and regular on-site meetings. Support annual cost negotiations and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure successful operations.
  • Improve Department Profitability. Provide clear and concise reporting of key operating data; perform thorough review and analysis of sales, costs, and margins; maintain no aged accounts receivable; complete monthly scrap reports; and ensure rapid inventory turnover (1.5 months for common grades and high-risk inventory as needed).
  • Improve Department Efficiency. Develop clear daily operating procedures with inside representatives; analyze current tasks and processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency; and ensure the accuracy of all documentation, including MSAs, Product Records, and other required records.
  • Communication to Management. Act as HTA’s main contact to Honda’s plants. Keep management informed of all potential problems or personnel concerns; work independently while keeping supervisors informed of activities, key issues, and customer developments.
  • Motivate Inside Representative and Manage Workload. Understand the inside representative’s daily work activities; encourage regular project status updates and communication of weekly activities; provide guidance, encouragement, and direction; and coach and counsel to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
